JD Willoughby

Having been bitten by hedgehogs, peed on by alligators, chased by sea turtles, and mobbed by macaques, a life in the trees seemed like a safer way to spend my time. I get to keep all my digits and I don't have to share my bananas.

I offer classes, both hands-on and virtual, to help folks learn more about trees, ecology, nature, gardens, pollinators, and other topics. I love the history of gardens and our interactions with the natural world so I try to incorporate that in my teaching and writing. See my CLIPS page for some of my published work.
